Search for the Missing Telegram channel created in Ukraine

The "Search for the Missing" Telegram channel has been created in Ukraine to promptly provide information about children who are lost or, conversely, found. You can also use the channel to find lost adults.

The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov announced this on his Facebook page.

"This channel was created to search for those who disappeared during Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022," the description said.

The Search for Missing Persons is only looking for civilians. The information is published in the form of a short reference with the hashtag of the city where the person went missing.

To search for relatives you need to specify:

  • name and surname of the missing person;
  • year of birth;
  • the circumstances under which they disappeared;
  • when was the last time you had a communication with them;
  • contact number;
  • own contacts for feedback.

Messages in the Telegram channel must be sent to one of these contacts:

  • @oxanakrasilova
  • @emmashymanovych
  • @Annavolod
  • @Jane_Sve

To join the channel, follow the link.

The Search for the Missing works with the Defense Force, which also accepts inquiries about the lost or those with whom it has lost contact.

To intensify the search, you should additionally fill out a questionnaire of the Territorial defense.

At the same time, Ukrainians are asked to check the information as much as possible, because fakes may appear to sow even more panic among the population.

Earlier residents of Kharkiv created "Hope-bot" in Telegram for the search of people who disappeared in the territory of the city.
