Moscow names a condition for continuing the dialogue with Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to continue dialogue with Ukraine if it meets all "known Russian requirements."

This was stated by Putin in a conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron, RIA Novosti reported, citing the Kremlin's press service.

"The readiness to continue the dialogue has been expressed, provided that the well-known Russian demands are unconditionally met. The main thing is that the Ukrainian side takes seriously the agreements, the implementation of which is important for the cessation of hostilities," the statement said.

Putin also told Macron that the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant was operating normally, the radioactive background is normal, and the station's physical and nuclear safety was well protected.

He also claims that the Russian military is controlling the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, ostensibly to prevent Ukrainian "neo-Nazis or terrorists" from organizing provocations.

Putin also accused "Ukrainian nationalists" of preventing the evacuation of civilians from Mariupol and Volnovakha, although Russia had in fact thwarted ceasefire agreements.

The Kremlin also said that the Russian president had invited Macron to "actively work with the Kyiv authorities" in order to allegedly comply with international humanitarian law.
