Russia launches an airstrike on Izium at night, children among the dead

Tonight, March 3, at about 11:59 p.m., the Russian occupier attacked Izium in the Kharkiv region.

According to the deputy mayor of Izium Volodymyr Matsokin, the blow hit a high-rise building and a private house.

"Six people died in a private house in Izium, two of them children," he said.

Matsokin later said the death toll had risen to eight after an airstrike on Ukrainska Street.

"There is significant damage in the city center. The police were targeted," he added.

The enemy continues to kill civilians in the Kharkiv region.

This was stated by the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleh Synehubov.

"Today the shells hit residential areas, the city center, the hospital, the university. Peaceful people went to pharmacies and grocery stores. Rocket fire and volley fire! It's a war crime!" he said.

An airstrike destroyed a high-rise building on Novobavarskyi Avenue. Many people are still trapped. The number of victims is currently being determined.

Russian occupiers continue to attack Kharkiv. They're trying to destroy television and radio. Yesterday, March 2, the enemy struck a banned vacuum bomb near the Kharkiv TV Tower.
