The enemy's offense was stopped in Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions.

Oleksiy Arestovych's address appeared on the official Telegram channel of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

According to him, the greatest danger is now observed in the North-West of Kyiv, in the direction of Dymer – Ivankiv, where fighting continues near the settlements of Hostomel, Vorzel, Bucha. This was announced by the adviser to the head of the Office of the President Oleksiy Arestovych at a briefing in the Office of the President.

"Russian troops are trying to attack, but our mechanized units have set up a solid barrier there. Several enemy helicopters and at least one column of military equipment were destroyed".

Oleksiy Arestovych noted that Kyiv is preparing for defense, so he called on Kyiv residents to enroll in the Territorial Defense Units.

In the Chernihiv direction, according to him, Ukrainian troops stopped the enemy's offensive. Currently, no active hostilities are taking place there. The enemy accumulates reserves.

"In the Sumy region, the enemy is also regrouping and preparing to attempt a further offensive, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine hold solid defense. We can be less worried about these areas," said an adviser to the head of the Office of the President.

Near Kharkiv, Ukrainian defenders stopped another offensive attempt in the morning. The city is under the control of Ukraine.

In the Joint Forces Operation area, the enemy advance is almost absent, artillery duels are taking place and saboteur groups are working.

The situation in Melitopil is ambiguous. On the outskirts of the city there are Russian troops who came from the Crimea. But the other part is held by the Ukrainian military, which keeps the defense and does not allow to move further towards Mariupil.

According to Arestovych, near Kherson, Russian troops are trying to cross the Dnipro river after the Antonov Bridge was destroyed. Ukrainian forces are defending, the situation is under control.

Oleksiy Arestovych also noted that there were several air strikes in the morning, in particular in Kyiv.

"Our air defense forces shot down two cruise missiles and one Su-27 aircraft. The pilot was taken prisoner and is being interrogated", he said.

There were also air strikes on the city of Rivne, on the airfield of Bila Tserkva and on Vasylkiv in Kyiv region. The number of strikes is decreasing, which indicates that the enemy's missile reserves are running out, said an adviser to the head of the President's Office.
