Zelenskyi's proposals for three laws and an extraordinary meeting: Rada's agenda

At the plenary session on Tuesday, July 13, the People's Deputies will consider the President's proposals for three laws, as well as hold an extraordinary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.

This is evidenced by the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada, Rubryka reports.

Thus, at the plenary session, parliamentarians will consider the President's proposals to the Law "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine 'On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges' and some laws to resume the work of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine" (№3711-d).

In addition, deputies will consider the proposals of the President to the laws "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning Ensuring the Detainee, Suspect, Accused, Convicted the Right to Legal Aid" (№2063) and "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Development Institute of Elders" (№4535).

The People's Deputies also intend to include in the agenda and shorten the terms of consideration of the presidential draft law №5712 "On the Great State Emblem of Ukraine."

In the second reading, it is planned to consider presidential draft laws №5068 on the procedure for election (appointment) to the positions of members of the High Council of Justice and the activities of disciplinary inspectors of the High Council of Justice and №5069 "On Amendments to Article 188-32 of the Code of Administrative Offenses legal requirements of the disciplinary inspector of the High Council of Justice."

An extraordinary meeting of the parliament convened at the request of the President will begin at 4 p.m. The agenda includes consideration of five issues.

In particular, the parliamentarians will consider in the first reading the draft law №5596 "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning the Regulation of the Circulation of Cannabis for Medical Purposes, Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activities."

In the second reading, deputies will vote for the draft law №3822 "On the peculiarities of reforming the enterprises of the defense-industrial complex of state ownership."

In the first reading, it is planned to consider the draft laws №5420 "On Amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine and the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine on the criminalization of smuggling of commodities and excisable goods, as well as the inaccurate declaration of goods" and №5270 "On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and some others legislative acts of Ukraine on the peculiarities of taxation of business activities of electronic residents."

Draft Law №5431 "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning the Improvement of the Activities of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine" is also envisioned for inclusion in the session agenda and adoption of a decision.
