Zelenskyi believes that the "corruption era" is ending.

The President of Ukraine said this during a press conference on May 20, lb.ua reports.

"I believe that we've taken many steps forward. Sanctions policy… I've found a way through the National Security and Defense Council; prosecutors, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the police have started working hard," the president said.

He added the verticals built by big businesses were being cleared of corruption because while there was no law, they couldn't be called oligarchs.

"These verticals in every institution, in every ministry, in parliament, the significant influence of these people. I believe that we've begun the end of this era," he said.

Zelenskyi added about the age of poverty that not everything depended on him, but he was pressuring the government to increase pensions and minimum wages.

"It is difficult for them with me and with the filling of the budget. The economy is developing slowly because of the code, but compared to European countries, we're in a normal state. The era of poverty will end when everyone pays taxes when the state is digitalized," he assured.
