Ukraine to provide assistance to Croatia affected by earthquake

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed Decree №1/2021 "On Providing Humanitarian Aid to the Republic of Croatia."

The press service of the Office of the President reports.

According to the document, the Cabinet of Ministers must provide humanitarian assistance to Croatia to overcome the consequences of the emergency.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyi expressed condolences to the Croatian people in connection with the earthquake having killed people.

"Ukraine prays for all those affected by this catastrophe and wishes strength and endurance," the Ukrainian head of state said on social media.

To recap, a powerful earthquake occurred in Croatia on December 29, resulting in several buildings destroyed. Among them was the building of the Ukrainian embassy in Zagreb.
