"The key thing for us is not to take the occupied Donbas back": Reznikov named two options for solving the problem

The Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Oleksii Reznikov, compared the occupied Donbas to a tumor and specified two options for solving the problem.

He stated this in the "Rendezvous with Yanina Sokolova" talk show.

Reznikov believes that Russia understands that they don't need the Ukrainian Donbas, because it won't become Russian either mentally or economically.

"The key thing for us is not to take it back… I repeat once again. We need safe reintegration. The key thing for us is not to take it back, like cancer we don't know what to do with," he stressed.

Reznikov stated two options for solving the problem.

"But we understand that we have two options. These territories are ill, including mentally. We have an option to resect completely, amputate. Or we stay and treat them. I am for therapy and complete recovery of our body," Reznikov said.
