Today is day 244 of russia's war in Ukraine: we talk about key events at the front, in the rear, and the world, as well as the leading solutions that approach our victory.
KEY EVENTS
Ukrainian army's successes
Yesterday evening, in the Kherson region, the third russian Ka-52 helicopter was shot down.
📌 In total, since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, russia has lost at least 23 Ka-52 attack helicopters. This is almost half of the total losses of russian helicopters in Ukraine and more than a quarter of all "alligators" in the park, British intelligence reports.
📌 The russian Peony burned down near Beryslav. And also, in the Kherson region, the Armed Forces destroyed 13 targets of the occupiers. Among them are 2 ammunition warehouses, a tank, MT-LB, 6 military vehicle units, 4 jeeps, and 2 dugouts where the personnel was hiding.
📌 In addition, the following were destroyed in the southern direction:
- 40 occupants,
- 3 tanks,
- anti-aircraft missile complex "Wasp,"
- 6 units of armored vehicles,
- 3 warehouses with ammunition in the Beryslavsky and Kakhovsky districts
📌 Over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka settlements (Luhansk region) and 9 settlements in the direction of Siversk, Bakhmut, and the territories west of Donetsk — Avdiyivka and Maryinka.
📌 At night, a "flock" of 3 Iranian drones was destroyed in the Mykolayiv region.
📌 The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the kadyrov base near Kherson.
Two explosions rang out in the occupied Chornobayivka near Kherson in the afternoon.
📌 Last night was also hot for the occupiers in the Melitopol region (Zaporizhzhia region). Locals counted about 7 powerful explosions near the village of Svitlodolynske. Smoke was observed from the side of the railway bridge.
And in Melitopol itself, a car exploded near the headquarters of russist TV operators. The office of gauleiter Balytskyi was located in this same building.
📌 The russian federation is preparing to defend Kherson and is not withdrawing completely from the upper part of the region, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reports. At the same time, the russian position in Upper Kherson Region is untenable, and by the end of 2022, Ukrainian troops will most likely recapture these territories.
📌 As of today, the russians have taken the equipment and personnel of the occupation "administration" and all banks from Kherson to Genichesk and Skadovsk (left-bank Kherson Oblast). In addition, the equipment of Internet providers was stolen.
russia's crimes
The russians once again terrorized the Nikopol district in the Dnipropetrovsk region all night long. They attacked with "Grads," heavy artillery, and kamikaze drones. Previously, people were not injured. Damaged houses, cars, a food enterprise ⬆️ and water supply.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, russia has attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure 85 times. 51 of these attacks occurred in October. Dnipropetrovsk region got the most.
📌 During yesterday's shelling of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, seven people were killed.
📌 Mykolaiv region. The enemy attacked the Mykolaiv district. There were no injuries; the solar panels were damaged. Bashtanskyi district was also under fire, where residential buildings and a kindergarten were damaged.
📌 In Kharkiv Oblast, the occupiers shelled the cities of Kupyansk and Vovchansk, as well as settlements in 5 districts. The administration building and a residential building were damaged.
📌 In the Kherson region, the russian military shelled a civilian car. The child, who was also in the car, is in the hospital. The girl's father and her older brother died.
📌 The occupiers, setting up defensive positions on the left bank of the Dnipro in the Kherson region, conduct mining around the villages where people live. In particular, the coastline near Hornostaivka was mined.
📌 For refusing to accept rubles, the occupation authorities threaten the Kherson region residents with punishment and "eviction to the territory of Ukraine."
📌 russia is artificially delaying the inspection of ships in the Bosphorus, which led to a queue of more than 170 ships. Because of this, Ukrainian ports are forced to work at only 25-30% of their capacity.m
📌 The head of Chechnya, Kadyrov, called to "wipe Ukrainian cities off the face of the earth." Kadyrov believes that the West is unlikely to take any action in response.
Life amid war
📌 In Vinnytsia, an energy-saving trolley of local production is being tested. ⬆️ It consumes 30% less electricity as compared to models created on the basis of the Soviet ZiU. The battery charge in the trolley bus is enough for 20 kilometers of autonomous travel.
📌 De-russification continues. In Odesa, they plan to rename 96 streets and alleys. In particular, they will remove the names of russian writers, soldiers, and other figures associated with the city.
📌 A mural was created on the wall of a national college in Romania based on a picture of 15-year-old Tatyana from the Odesa region. The work "Birds of Will and Freedom" (pictured above) was chosen among 60 applicants.
📌 Due to the russian energy terror, the Ukrainian authorities urge Ukrainians not to return from abroad until spring and, if possible, to stay for the winter abroad.
📌 Unemployed Ukrainians can be "mobilized" to participate in socially beneficial works, the Ministry of Economy reported. Due to the war, the unemployment rate is about 30%. The government has developed a mechanism for solving this problem. All participants of the "Recovery Army" will be paid UAH 6,700.
📌 Another operation was held to transfer the bodies of fallen soldiers. Ukraine returned another 25 of its heroes.
SOLUTIONS TO WIN
Foreign partners' support
