The daughter of the fallen defender Taras Dutchak, Sofiia, together with the Come Back Alive foundation and the Lviv City Council, raised 1.2 million hryvnias for the "Zbroienostsi" project.
Come Back Alive, and the Lviv City Council reported this.
What is the solution?
According to the city council, to fully support four combat brigades of Ukraine's armed forces currently defending the front line, Lviv has partnered with the Come Back Alive charitable foundation to launch a joint initiative called "Zbroienostsi."
The Lviv community has already contributed significantly to over 100 million hryvnias. Additionally, more than 60 million hryvnias have been raised through the combined efforts of the foundation, local communities, businesses, and concerned Ukrainians.
How does it work?
The "Zbroienostsi" project gained widespread popularity, with many residents opening separate fundraising accounts to expedite the collection of funds. Sofiia Dutchak is among the volunteers contributing to this effort.
Following the loss of her father, Sofiia decided to support the military. She explained that the "Zbroienostsi" project resonated with her mainly because it supported four military brigades from western Ukraine, her family's region. Her father had even been on assignments with the 80th Separate Assault Brigade.
"I constantly donate to the Come Back Alive fund, and this is not the first time I have held a joint fundraiser with it. I found out that the Lviv City Council would be holding a joint fundraiser with the fund, and, of course, Lviv is simply my heart, and I could not miss it. I immediately had an internal call to join and raise as much as possible.
With the joint efforts of the wonderful people who joined my fundraiser, we managed to raise 1 million 130 thousand UAH in two weeks," the girl said.
The volunteer said that her father, Taras Dutchak, was a military man who served in the 103rd Brigade. He returned from abroad and volunteered to fight.
"My father died a year ago, and all that time, I tried to help my father and his comrades. Now, we managed to raise a million, and a month ago, just before the anniversary of my father's death, my sister Yana and I raised half a million in two days.
A month before that, it was my birthday, and I managed to raise 300 thousand in one day. That is constant, tireless work, which, I really hope, benefits and helps our best people. I really hope my dad sees me and is proud of me," Sofiia shared.
Dutchak reports that she initially launched a collection drive, raising 70 thousand hryvnias for the "Dronopad" project. Remarkably, she successfully completed the fundraising within 24 hours with the support of her subscribers. This marked the beginning of her collaboration with the fund.
It should be noted that the joint collection of the city of Lviv and the Come Back Alive fund is ongoing because almost 175 million hryvnias have been raised out of the desired collection amount of 200 million. That is, about 25 million UAH still needs to be raised. One can join the collection here.
Rubryka has already written about how Sofiia invited Yevhen Klopotenko to breakfast with her mother on the social network X. The famous chef agreed, supporting Halyna Dutchak, who lost her husband and was being treated for oncology at that time.
For reference:
Taras Dutchak was a volunteer who joined Ukraine's armed forces on March 15, 2022. He was the commander of a rifle platoon detachment. The man died in October 2023 during a combat mission in the Izium district of the Kharkiv region.
