Ukrainian startup Anima has created a platform for monitoring the psychological state of military personnel, which can assess the degree of anxiety, stress resistance, and depression.
Rubryka writes about this.
What is the problem?
Military personnel regularly face combat stress, anxiety, and other psychological challenges that can affect their combat readiness and general condition. It can be challenging to differentiate between normal stress reactions and more severe psychological issues without further investigation, making it crucial to have specialized evaluations and support readily available.
What is the solution?
Ukrainian startup Anima has created a unique platform that allows military psychologists to use a neuroscientific tracker to assess the level of anxiety, stress resistance, and depression of military personnel. This solution effectively monitors mental state, helps identify threats to psychological health promptly, and simplifies therapists' work.

How does it work?
- Using a neuroscientific tracker to assess the condition: the test relies on studying eye movements to identify responses to various images, both neutral (such as landscapes) and triggering (such as trenches or destruction).
- Online platform: the test is conducted via webcam, and the results are immediately available to the psychologist in their office.
- Integration of tools for therapists: The office allows you to save the history of the wards' condition, take notes, and schedule appointments and tests. In addition, a unique AI assistant helps analyze the patient's condition and draw up treatment plans.
- Confidentiality: the system does not store personal data, test results are encoded, and military personnel are registered under pseudonyms.

- Benefits:
The platform enables commanders and psychologists to swiftly and accurately identify individuals needing urgent assistance and those who would benefit from support in a non-combat zone. This boosts the units' efficiency, minimizes the time required to return to operational readiness, and instills confidence in the psychological service.
How to get involved?
Military psychologists can access the platform by writing to [email protected].

Losing one's sight can turn a person's world upside down: simple tasks that once were second nature now take much longer, and even the background noise seems to have been amplified. Adjusting to these challenges can be daunting, but it's a relief to have supportive people by your side on this journey.
