Powerful explosion rocks Russian-occupied Berdiansk at night
Last night, August 8, a massive explosion rocked the temporarily occupied Berdiansk. Locals reported that it was the most powerful explosion they had heard of in quite some time.
Rubryka reports this with reference to the Telegram channel "Berdiansk Today."
The report states, "A single, but very loud, explosion rang out in the city at approximately 00:30."
Berdiansk residents write that they have not heard such a loud explosion for a long time.
There was no alarm signal in the port or the enemy's monitoring stations.
"At that time, a missile threat was announced on the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea. But residents of Berdiansk write that the explosion was not similar to the work of air defense," the Telegram channel added.
The occupiers, as always, do not comment on the explosion.

Berdiansk, a city in the Zaporizhzhia region, is situated on the coast of the Sea of Azov. It used to be the most popular tourist resort. However, in February 2022, Russian forces took control of the city.
Like Mariupol, the invaders turned the city on the shore of the Sea of Azov into an important hub for securing their group on the Zaporizhzhia front.
In March, the Security Service of Ukraine launched an investigation against Russian officials for using the Berdiansk port to transport occupiers.
It was recently reported that on March 6, Olena Ilyina, one of the organizers of the fake elections, was killed in the temporarily occupied city of Berdiansk. Her car exploded in the Kolonia neighborhood.
On February 3, there was much commotion in the temporarily occupied city of Berdiansk, located in the Zaporizhzhia region. For a while, residents could hear loud explosions outside of the city.
On the morning of February 22, an explosion rang out in the temporarily captured Berdiansk of the Zaporizhzhia region. A car was thrown into the air.
Also, on January 13, explosions rang out in Berdiansk, temporarily occupied by Russian troops, in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In particular, on January 17, the network reported the sounds of explosions in the port area.
On January 25, there was an explosion in the city of Berdiansk, which had been temporarily taken over by the Zaporizhzhia region. The sound of the explosion was audible near the train station.
In the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region, the invaders are relentlessly harassing and frightening the local population. Mayor Fedorov stated that the Russian authorities are carrying out raids and using Ukrainian civilians as shields for their military operations.
