Solutions to win: Ukraine unveils advanced infantry jet flamethrower for combat use
The Ministry of Defense has officially authorized the use of an infantry jet flamethrower developed by experts from one of the institutions within the defense industry sector for our troops.
The department's press service reported this.
What is the solution?
Ukraine's armed forces have already used the domestic RPV-16 jet flamethrower, which was introduced in 2016.

The new infantry jet flamethrower is the next step in improving the technical arsenal of the Ukrainian army.
How does it work?
As the department said, the jet flamethrower is designed for effective damage of:
- enemy fire points,
- light armored vehicles and enemy vehicles.
It can also destroy enemy human resources, hiding behind cover, obstacles, or in open terrain.

The Ministry of Defense explained that the new flamethrower had a rocket-propelled grenade and a special thermobaric mixture.
"In terms of its high-explosive action, this grenade's explosion is equivalent to the detonation of a large-caliber artillery shell. At the point of its impact, a layer of fire with a volume of about fifteen cubic meters appears, and an area of increased pressure is formed.
The burning temperature is almost 2500 degrees. The danger to the enemy's manpower remains more than fifty meters from the epicenter of the explosion," the agency noted.
The ministry assured that this flamethrower is particularly effective during assault operations in an urban environment with capital construction and buried shelters.
"For example, in the event of a flame thrower firing into a brick house, the enemy inside has no chance of survival," the Ministry of Defense emphasized.

Additionally, efforts are being made at Ukrainian factories to enhance the firepower and defensive capabilities of different variants of armored personnel carriers against enemy drones.
