"We received this photo from the men who received camouflage nets from us. Upon closer inspection, we noticed green grass peeking through the soot and burnt earth. It reflects our country, Ukraine, and the brave men fighting for it, the women anxiously waiting for their return, the children who are proud of their parents, and a life that will always triumph," Kushnirenko says.

The NGO "Warrior's Wife" was supported by the Stanislavsky Auto Club, which last showcased its rare vehicles five years ago.

Vitaly Vladkovsky, an experienced ceramic artist, also contributed to the fundraising campaign. He arranged workshops and sold various ceramic items, such as:

  • pieces made by the military;
  • and the ancient Trypillia instrument called the ocarina.

"They are of different types. Thousands of years ago, this instrument was made in the form of a cuckoo, which is why it got its name – Zozulytsia, ocarina ["zozulia" – cuckoo in Ukrainian]. The sound of the instrument also resembles the forging of a cuckoo," explains Vladkovsky.
