Kyiv region installs 10,000 anti-tank barriers to repel possible Russian offensive

The Kyiv region is actively increasing the construction of fortifications, having already installed almost 10,000 anti-tank barriers.
Officials state border protection is one of the main goals of security policy today.
Fortifications include an extensive system of trenches, dugouts and other types of shelters, and installation of barrier lines.
"Our defenders need to have well-equipped fortifications amid a shortage of artillery ammunition, as the Ukrainian army has now moved to defense in almost all areas of the frontline," officials stated.
This month, the Cabinet of Ministers has allocated $20 million from the state budget reserve fund to keep up the pace of building new defense lines.
Ukraine's Defense Ministry published a number of photos showing the construction of fortifications in the Zaporizhzhia region and Sumy region.
The Ukrainian military has previously demonstrated the process of building defensive structures and fence lines on the northern border with the Russia.
