Lithuanian"Radarom!" fundraising campaign raised €8.2 million to purchase locally produced equipment for the Ukrainian military, LRT reports.
What is the problem?
Ukraine has been in a full-scale war with Russia for two years, standing against prevailing forces. The state army needs large stocks of military equipment and supplies to fight the aggressor because Russia has many times more.
Ukrainians and residents of friendly partner countries help the army together.
What is the solution?
Lithuania held the second "Radarom!" campaign since the beginning of the Russian aggression, raising funds to purchase locally produced equipment for the Ukrainian military.
How does it work?
The fundraising campaign lasted four weeks, organized by LRT in cooperation with Blue/Yellow, Laisvės TV, Stiprūs kartu, and journalist Rita Miliute.
The final amount raised by the campaign was announced after a charity concert on Saturday night, the second anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The funds donated by the Lithuanian public, businesses, and organizations will be used to purchase and deliver 1115 kits for the Ukrainian military.

The kits are said to cost €7,500 each and consist of a night vision monocular, a laser sight, and an individual anti-drone system designed to help Ukrainian soldiers be better protected.
The equipment to be supplied is manufactured in Lithuania by Brolis Semiconductors and NT Service.
Last year, on the first anniversary of Russia's full-scale war, the campaign raised more than €14 million to purchase 17 tactical surveillance radars to monitor Ukraine's airspace and other equipment.
