Since the beginning of 2023, 34 countries have sent over 496 humanitarian aid shipments to Ukraine for the energy sector totalling 5,938 tons, says the Energy Ministry press release.

120 companies, government institutions and organizations from 34 states have donated aid to the Ukrainian energy sector this year.

The ministry added that energy companies received the most assistance in the Mykolaiv region, the Donetsk region, and the Kherson region.

"The equipment received from our partners includes generators, transformers and autotransformers, surge arresters, circuit breakers of various capacities, special equipment, etc. Part of the equipment received (over 5,200 tons) has already been distributed to 104 companies in the fuel and energy sector," the statement said.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine has received more than 10,000 of energy equipment from 35 countries.

Earlier this year, transformers and solar panels from Japanese partners were to be delivered to Ukraine.

Ukraine has already received two powerful autotransformers purchased and delivered by the UNDP and the Japanese government.

The transmission system operator Ukrenergo will receive a 76 million euro grant from Germany to strengthen the protection of energy facilities and improve the reliability of power supply to consumers.

On August 12, the Ministry of Energy reported that scheduled repairs at Ukraine's energy facilities were on schedule, but the worst situation with preparations for the new heating season was observed in the regions bordering Russia and in the frontline areas.
