Canada sanctions 63 Russian entities and individuals involved in abduction of Ukrainian children
Canada has imposed new sanctions against 63 Russian individuals and companies. The list includes those related to abducting Ukrainian children and spreading disinformation.
Canadian authorities sanctioned 21 Russian companies, institutions, and NGOs, says the state's PM Justin Trudeau during his talks with Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky.
The list includes Kremlin media Komsomolskaya Pravda and Vzglyad, youth military organizations, "The Russian Geographical Society" NGO, the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies, and the Valdai Discussion Club, which Russian President Vladimir Putin sometimes attends.
42 individuals, including three children's ombudsmen in the northern Tiumen region, were added to the sanctions list, suspected of hiding Ukrainian children.
