On August 15, Russian air strikes hit two western regions of Ukraine, killing three people in a factory and wounding more than a dozen, Ukrainian officials said.

Swedish industrial bearings maker SKF said its factory in Lutsk was hit by a missile, killing three employees.

Last night there was an attack on the city of Lutsk in Ukraine and our factory has been hit in that attack. We are very sad to confirm that three of our colleagues have been killed, SKF's spokesperson Carl Bjernstam said.

Bjernstam said the company would look at the consequences of the attack and damage to the factory but added that its primary focus was on its employees and their safety.

The factory has around 1,100 employees in Ukraine, the majority of whom work at its Lutsk factory, according to the company's latest earnings report. The company responded to Russia's full-scale war by quitting Moscow's market in April 2022.

Fifteen people were also wounded in the Lviv region, local governor Maksym Kozytskyi said. Six missiles damaged dozens of buildings and a kindergarten playground in and around the regional capital. The youngest victim was ten years old.
