Russian forces shell public transport in Kherson: wounded civilians reported

On the morning of August 3, the Russian forces attacked Kherson again. This time, the Russian invaders struck a cathedral and public transport in the city center.

Rubryka reports, citing the head of the Kherson city military administration, Roman Mrochko, and State Emergency Service, that four more rescuers were injured as a result of the repeated shelling of Kherson in the morning.

"Another merciless shelling by the enemy since the very morning! This time the occupiers shelled public transport and people going to work," Mrochko reported.

As Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson regional military administration, reported, in the morning, the Russian army shelled a church in the center of Kherson. Three passengers of a trolleybus that was driving past the cathedral at the time of the Russian strike were injured. They were hospitalized in an ambulance.

"A 39-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man are receiving medical assistance. An examination is being conducted. Also, a 74-year-old older man received severe chest and closed brain injuries. Doctors are fighting for his life," said Prokudin.

According to Yermak, the Russians shelled Kherson with artillery:

"They were striking  public transport that took people to work."

The State Emergency Service also reported about the shelling of the rescuers.

"Kherson. While rescuers were extinguishing the fire caused by the shelling in St. Catherine's Cathedral, Russians shelled again. Four employees of the State Emergency Service were injured. All of them are hospitalized and provided with the necessary assistance. The special equipment was damaged," the statement says.

The State Emergency Service emphasized that the enemy had been firing at the rescuers since the first days of the full-scale invasion.

Shelling of Kherson

Russian occupiers are constantly shelling Kherson. For example, on July 31, Russian troops shelled Kherson all day. Four civilians were killed as a result of the attack. It is also known that 17 were wounded.

On August 1, Russian occupiers attacked a hospital in Kherson, where a young doctor who had just taken up his post was killed.

Five people were injured, although it was initially reported that only one nurse was seriously injured. A policeman was also killed during the shelling on August 1.

On the night and morning of August 2, the city suffered repeated Russian attacks on residential buildings, resulting in two people being injured.
