Russian drones attack Ukraine's northern Kharkiv region

The mayor of Pervomaisk, Mykola Baksheiev, reported that Russian drones attacked the Pervomaisk community in Ukraine's northeastern Kharkiv region.

Rubryka reports, citing Baksheiev on the Telegram messaging app, that industrial facilities were hit, and a fire broke out.

"Our community came under attack by Shahed drones. There are impacts on industrial facilities, leading to a fire. Rescuers are working," he said, clarifying that there is currently no information about the victims.

"AFU fighter is on duty in the sky above the city!" the mayor added.

As reported, Russian drones were spotted earlier this night in the sky over the Kharkiv region. Earlier, the head of the Kharkiv military garrison Serhii Melnyk ("Marseille"), published a warning on Telegram.

"Attention residents of the Kharkiv region, do not ignore the air raid warning. Enemy Shahed UAVs have been detected in the sky," the post reads.

Before that, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces warned about the threat of attack drones in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions.

As reported, on July 16, an employee of an industrial enterprise was killed, and three others were injured by a rocket attack on Kharkiv from the territory of the Russian Federation.
