Stoltenberg convenes Ukraine-NATO Council at Kyiv's request on July 26

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg convenes a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council on July 26.

NATO spokeswoman Oana Lungescu stated this, DW reports.

"The parties will meet to hold consultations on the latest events and discuss the transportation of Ukrainian grain across the Black Sea," the spokeswoman said.

She also added that the meeting will be held at the ambassadors' level.

For reference:

In an evening video message, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he had turned to Stoltenberg with a proposal to urgently convene the Ukraine-NATO Council for consultations regarding the security situation in the Black Sea.

In particular, it is worth reminding that on July 17, Russia withdrew from the "grain agreement," after which it began to attack the port infrastructure of Ukraine. Also, on July 19, the terrorist country announced the withdrawal of safety guarantees for seafarers, and vessels bound for Ukrainian ports would be considered carriers of military cargo.
