"Kyiv has defied various invaders; it will also survive the Russian occupiers" – Zelensky on Kyiv Day

On May 28, the Russian invaders perpetrated a concentrated attack on Kyiv and the region.

The head of state Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned that in his video address.

"Today, our state went through one of the largest Russian attacks by Shaheds – 54 drones [were launched – ed.] simultaneously. Almost all of them were shot down," Zelensky said.

He noted that during this terrorist attack, quantitatively, the most powerful onslaught was directed against the Kyiv region and Kyiv.

"This is exactly how Russia celebrates the Day of our ancient Kyiv… During its history, Kyiv has seen various meannesses from invaders. Kyiv has defied various invaders; it will also survive the Russian occupiers. None of them will be here!" – stressed the president.
