Moldova will arrest Putin if he visits the country – Sandu

Moldova will implement the decision of the International Criminal Court and arrest Russian dictator Vladimir Putin if he comes to the country.

President Maia Sandu said this in an interview with Euronews Romania.

Sandu was answering a question about whether Putin would be arrested on a warrant from the International Criminal Court if he came to Moldova.

"Yes. The Republic of Moldova has signed the agreement on the criminal court, and Moldova will respect the court's decision," Sandu answered briefly.

For reference:

The International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Putin concerning the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children. In response, the Russian Federation filed an indictment in absentia and announced a search for a prosecutor and a judge of the International Criminal Court.

As reported, the EU condemned Russia's actions against the International Criminal Court, which wants to arrest Putin.
