Entrepreneurs from Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih develop demining machine
A local enterprise in Kryvyi Rih, the city in Ukraine's eastern Dnipropetrovsk region, has created a demining flail.
On his page, local journalist Roman Kravtsov reports that the entrepreneurs want to help clear the land of dangerous ammunition.
"Calm down..! This is not shelling. This is how a demining flail works. A field test of the unit took place the other day," Kravtsov wrote, adding that such a machine "has a lot of work to do in demining the land of Ukraine in the coming years."
The photo shows a demining flail created at the Kryvyi Rih enterprise. The machine is being tested to determine its efficiency.
With the help of such a flail, it will be possible to clear a significant area of dangerous mines.
As Rubryka reported, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine plans to involve domestic equipment manufacturers to speed up demining of the territory.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that approximately 30% of Ukraine's territory (about 180,000 km²) was mined due to Russia's invasion. This is more than two territories of Austria or five times the area of Moldova. Complete demining of Ukraine will take 5 to 10 years.
