The heads of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of South Korea and Germany met and discussed the situation in Ukraine.

Yonhap reports this.

"Foreign Minister Park Jin and his counterpart from Germany, Annalena Baerbock, held a strategic dialogue, where the issue of cooperation in supporting Ukraine in its war against the Russian invaders was on the agenda," the publication noted.

The head of the German department, Annalena Baerbock, highly appreciated the clear position of South Korea regarding the invasion of Russia. At the same time, she emphasized that Europe is going through the most difficult period in recent decades because of the war.

In his turn, Park Jin said that both sides expressed concern over Ukraine's worsening humanitarian and economic situation. And they also shared the understanding that international solidarity and support are more important than ever.

The head of the Foreign Ministry of South Korea added that the two countries agreed to work together on diplomatic and economic measures to support Ukraine. He stated that the country provides humanitarian aid to Ukraine. However, he did not answer the question about the supply of weapons.

For reference:

It should be noted that South Korea agreed to provide the United States with 500,000 shells for 155-mm artillery guns.

South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin and his Polish counterpart Zbigniew Rau agreed on active participation in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
