New trams made of Azovstal steel have arrived on route No. 33 connecting Troeshchyna and Darnytsia in Ukraine's capital.

This route takes only 15 minutes, Metinvest reports.

The Tatra-Yug company purchased steel from the legendary plant before the full-scale war. The trams were launched only now.

A batch of trams with a low floor, an improved heating system, modern ventilation and air conditioning was produced from Mariupol metal by order of the people of Kyiv.

The tram is equipped for people with reduced mobility and passengers with special needs: inside there are places with fixation of wheelchairs and baby carriages, ramps for boarding/alighting at the entrance, exit buttons on the lower level, and conveniently marked seats for pregnant women.

The case of the Mariupol metallurgists of Metinvest will delight Ukrainians for a long time: metal produced before the war was purchased by large companies.

Azovstal has become a symbol of the indomitability and resilience of Ukrainians for the whole world, and the pre-war steel of the Mariupol plants has acquired a new life.

In particular, the last batch of metal produced at the plant was used to create the "Symbol of Invincibility" bracelets, which sold out in record time.

All money received from the sale was directed to the "Army of Drones" project.
