About 15 European commissioners to visit Kyiv for EU-Ukraine summit

A delegation of about 15 European commissioners will meet with members of the Ukrainian government in Kyiv on February 2, a day before the Ukraine-EU summit.

The spokeswoman of the European Commission, Dana Spinant, announced this on Thursday in a comment to AFP.

Spinant said that "about 15 commissioners" – out of 27 – may visit Kyiv to participate in the meeting, confirming the Politico publication.

According to Spinant, the list of commissioners has not yet been finalized.

The EC spokeswoman added that this visit demonstrates "the scale of our work with Ukraine" and proves the EU's support for the country.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet with the Presidents of the European Council and the European Commission, Charles Michel and Ursula von der Leyen, on February 3 to discuss financial and military support for Ukraine in the fight against russia's invasion.
