China claims to know nothing about the russian drone attack on Kyiv, which killed five people and damaged energy infrastructure

This was stated at a briefing by the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Wang Wenbin, EP writes.

The journalist asked him about the October 17 russian attack on Kyiv.

"I don't know what you're talking about," he insisted.

"China's position on the Ukrainian issue is consistent and clear. Under the current circumstances, all interested parties should show calm and restraint to encourage and support all diplomatic efforts that contribute to the peaceful settlement of the crisis in Ukraine for a joint de-escalation of the situation," the spokesman added.

We will remind you that the European Union has prepared a document recommending member states strengthen their attitude towards China and consider this country a competitor with limited areas of potential interaction.

Last week, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell gave a speech in which he said the European Union had become too reliant on russia and China and that this had to change.

We will remind you that four people were killed due to a russian rocket hitting a residential building in the Shevchenkiv district of Kyiv on the morning of October 17.

On October 18, it was reported that the bodies of 5 victims of the russian attack were recovered from the rubble.
