The security situation on the border with Belarus has not undergone significant changes, and the formation of offensive groups has not been detected.

It was announced by the State Border Guard Service spokesman, Andriy Demchenko, Ukrinform reports.

"The units of the Belarusian armed forces continue to carry out the task of covering the Belarusian-Ukrainian section of the border within the Brest and Gomel regions. We do not observe changes in the number and composition at the moment. There are no signs of the formation of offensive groups either," Demchenko said.

According to him, in the border regions of Belarus, the implementation of engineering arrangements and the active use of radio-electronic warfare equipment is recorded to make surveillance more difficult.

Regarding the situation on the border with the russian federation in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the spokesman of the SBGS noted that russia continues to maintain separate units of the armed forces in the border areas of the Bryansk and Kursk regions. Thus, according to him, the presence demonstration continues to constrain the actions of the Ukrainian defense forces to prevent the transfer of units to other areas where active hostilities are taking place.

"The formation of the enemy strike group, which could carry out a repeated invasion of the territory of Ukraine, is also not observed," Demchenko noted.

At the same time, according to him, russian troops do not stop shelling the territory of the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, daily opening fire with artillery, mortars, and small arms. Cases of dropping explosive devices from drones are also recorded.

About 130 shelling of these territories were recorded in just one week, of which 10 were carried out by aircraft, the rest by artillery and mortars, according to the SBGS spokesman's reports.

As Rubryka reported earlier, the Commander of the Joint Forces Task Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Serhii Naev, has made a working trip to the Northern Operational Zone, where measures to strengthen Ukrainian defenses are ongoing. According to the report, Naiev visited the positions of Ukrainian service members and border guards, who became a strong "shield" in order not to give the enemy any chance to repeat the attack from the north.

According to the commander, measures are currently being taken to mine dangerous areas and install engineering barriers. Units of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine are taking measures to strengthen the state border of Ukraine in all dangerous and threatening areas.
