The French region will provide €1.1 million for projects supporting Ukraine

The leadership of the Ile-de-France region decided to allocate 1.1 million euros for projects supporting Ukraine.

It was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine on Telegram.

"The First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – the Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yuliya Svyridenko, following the meeting with the President of the Ile-de-France Regional Council, Valérie Pécresse, informed that the territory's leadership has already decided to allocate 1.1 million euros for projects supporting Ukraine. Currently, it is necessary to determine specific actions for the restoration of Chernihiv and Kyiv regions," the message reads.

It is noted that the Ile-de-France region is considering the possibility of patronage over the restoration of the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions. French experts will be able to provide Ukraine with their assessment of the revitalization of destroyed areas, as well as participate in the development of master plans involving the best experience in urban planning.

The Ministry of Economy emphasizes that French experience and practice in waste processing and disposal is significant, especially in the agriculture field.

According to Svyrydenko, the involvement of experts, tools, and methods for building a highly efficient economy, which Ile-de-France has, will help make the Kyiv region and Chernihiv region drivers of the country's development. Cooperation with the region will become a significant factor in accelerating the economic growth of these territories and Ukraine as a whole.
