russian occupiers fired phosphorous bombs at the village in Zaporizhzhia region

In the Zaporizhzhia region, the invaders fired at the village of Novoiakovlivka with prohibited ammunition.

This was reported by the Komyshuvakha territorial community.

"The russian occupiers continue to commit war crimes by shelling residential buildings in peaceful settlements, including with prohibited ammunition. On the night of April 12, the village of Novoiakovlivka was shelled with phosphorus bombs. Due to the rainy weather, there was no fire, no one was injured or killed. There are damaged houses," the statement reads.

The use of phosphorus bombs is prohibited by the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Victims of War (Protocol of 1977) and the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons.

As reported, in the Donetsk region, Russian invaders on March 30 used phosphorous shells in the city of Mariinka.
