The United States has imposed new sanctions on Russia: now on high technology

The US Treasury Department has imposed sanctions on 13 Russians and 21 Russian companies working in the field of high technology, including for the needs of the Russian army.

This is stated in a statement on the department's website.

Sanctions have been imposed in particular against Mikron, Russia's largest manufacturer and exporter of microelectronics and Russia's largest chipmaker.

Also, the sanctions list includes software and communication technology development company JSC NDI-Vector and computer company T-Platforms.

The sanctions also affected Sernia Engineering LLC and Sertal LLC, which are associated with armaments and special equipment companies.

To recap, Britain announced on Thursday the imposition of new sanctions against Russian propagandists, as well as against Russian Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, known as the "Mariupol Butcher" for the brutal blockade and destruction of Mariupol.
