Ombudsman: 148 children died in Ukraine because of Russian occupiers' aggression

The actions of the Russian army in Ukraine have already killed 148 children and wounded 232

This was announced by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmyla Denisova, Rubryka reports.

According to her, the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations date says, as of 8:00 a.m. on March 31, 148 children have died and another 232 have been injured since the start of full-scale Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

According to these figures, at least three children have been killed and 10 injured in the past 24 hours.

According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, these figures are not final, as there is no possibility of conducting urgent investigative actions

It is also impossible to inspect the areas of shelling and destruction in places of active hostilities and in temporarily occupied territories.

In particular, in the city of Mariupol, in some areas of Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Luhansk regions.

According to the data received, children suffered the most in:

  • Kyiv region – 69,
  • Donetsk region – 57,
  • Kharkiv region – 53,
  • Chernihiv region – 41,
  • Mykolaiv region – 30,
  • Luhansk region – 30,
  • Zaporizhzhia region – 22,
  • Kherson region – 27,
  • Kyiv City – 16,
  • Sumy region – 16,
  • Zhytomyr region – 15 regions.
