Ukraine developed bulletproof vests for servicewomen
In Ukraine, bulletproof vests have been developed for servicewomen.
Deputy Interior Minister Meri Akopian announced this on Facebook, Rubryka reports.
She noted that integrating women into the army and the National Guard had been active for the past few years, and to provide them with comfort and protection during their service, a bulletproof vest had been developed for them.
"Several copies of the female service members of the Kyiv garrison of the National Guard have been received from the manufacturer of armor protection and are already being tested. We're waiting for feedback," Akopian wrote.
At the same time, the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs added that there were still many organizational and functional things that need to be restructured in the system taking into account the characteristics and needs of women in the service.
It was reported that more than 5,500 women serve and work in the National Guard.
