Venediktova reports on signing suspicion notice to Odesa mayor Trukhanov
Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova announced the signing of the suspicion notice to the mayor of Odesa Hennadii Trukhanov.
She announced this on Facebook, Rubryka reports.
"In our opinion, all these people (it's quite possible that the number of suspects may increase) were involved in several criminal acts aimed at seizing land in Odesa.
The real seizure of land was, for some reason, called a lease, forgetting that forgery of documents and use of official powers to implement a criminal plan are criminally punishable acts.
In general, according to expert opinions, the losses to the city budget amounted to more than 533 million UAH. I'd like to emphasize that this amount may change until the end of the investigation and the transfer of the case to court, given the existence of other important circumstances, which are carefully worked out by detectives and prosecutors," said the Prosecutor General.
