Yermak's revenge, suffering for Kolomoiskyi, or a real thing? Why they want to convict Semenchenko
On April 1, the Pecherskyi court was to consider an appeal against the pre-trial restriction of the former commander of the "Donbas" battalion Semen Semenchenko, suspected of creating an illegal private military company (PMC) on the territory of Ukraine.
This story began on March 24 with a statement by the State Security Service about discovering the base for training fighters for PMCs. Besides, Semenchenko could be helped by the so-called NABU agent Yevhenii Shevchenko, who's already turned up in several high-profile cases of the Bureau.
The court has already sent several people under arrest in this case, and the investigation promises to surprise the Ukrainians with shocking details, including about the work of the detainees in Russia. However, the suspects themselves speak of a political hunt. What are the Semenchenko-Shevchenko problems connected with, can there be ulterior motives behind this, and how will it end? Read in the Rubryka article.
