Abolishing illicit enrichment and freedom for corrupt officials: why the CCU decision poses a threat to Ukrainians
The Constitutional Court of Ukraine canceled the electronic declarations of officials and also declared articles on illegal enrichment and confiscation of assets gained through corruption unconstitutional.
On a practical level, this decision will weaken the not very active fight against corruption as it is, and will also add problems for Kyiv with international partners. In recent years, they have insisted on increasing the fight in these areas.
