International Men's Day: how to celebrate without stereotypes
We also asked a psychologist why men need psychotherapy, and what ideas they should get rid of
Ukrainians are continuously debating on celebrating the boys' and men's day. Some people miss the Soviet February 23. Other people try to draw parallels and make the "stronger sex day" out of the Ukrainian Defender's Day, celebrated on October 14 (not being a purely male's holiday). Others believe the holiday has already exhausted itself in the form it exists in. Everyone's long been sick to death of traditional socks and shaving products, given to everyone indiscriminately. The biggest radicals propose abolishing all "gender" holidays altogether and close the issue once and for all.
However, there's an alternative. For years, people have dedicated this holiday to all men: International Men's Day (IMD) celebrated annually in over 60 countries today, on November 19.
