Georgia, also known as Sakartvelo, was the first country to form its own legion within the Ukrainian Armed Forces when Russia started its full-scale war against Ukraine in 2022. It was also the first to welcome Ukrainian refugees fleeing from occupied territories. Despite enduring years of Russian aggression, Georgia is still fighting every day to protect its language, borders, and its right to be part of the free European community.
