Have a Cake Day: 20 facts about dessert and 3 recipes for every taste
Caution! You may get the munchies
It's almost impossible to resist a fluffy sponge cake with clouds of fragrant cream, especially today, July 20, when International Cake Day celebrates its first tenth anniversary. The history of this sweet holiday began in 2009 when the guys from the community of musicians and chefs, "Milan Club of the Kingdom of Love," decided to create music cakes. This creative initiative was a harbinger of another, more accessible and global idea: if there are people in the world who can be combined with a cake and music, then even more people can make friends with help of a regular cake!
Cake Day was first celebrated in 2011, when Ukraine, along with other countries, took part in the first large-scale celebration. The motto of the holiday has been the phrase "I Cake You" by analogy with "I love you."
Today Rubryka came to you with curiosities about cakes. But be careful, just one reading about these fantastic delicacies can give the munchies! 🙂
