Solutions from Ukraine: Kyiv launches mobile FPV drone training program
Kyiv has provided a mobile school for FPV drone control training to the soldiers of the Third Assault Brigade. An old MAZ bus was transformed into a modern training center as part of the city's "Defender of Kyiv" program.
The Kyiv City Council announced this on Facebook, Rubryka reports.
What is the solution?
The municipal enterprise "Autotransport Enterprise of the City of Kyiv" undertook such a project for the first time, converting an old MAZ bus into a modern training center.
How does it work?
The school's uniqueness lies in its autonomy, made possible by a powerful generator that enables it to operate anywhere without relying on a stationary power grid.
The interior of the school has been designed to provide comfortable learning conditions, including:
- 9 workstations,
- a sofa,
- a large TV for demonstrating materials,
- a coffee machine,
- and even a kitchenette.
The bus was completely renovated, replacing:
- the metal structure,
- the electrical system.
The project was completed with a custom-designed exterior and made-to-order furniture and branded materials.
In October of last year, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine issued its first official permit for a private school of UAV operators. The permit was granted to the Kyiv-based Global Drone Academy through a simplified procedure.
Previously, Rubryka reported that the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution allowing private schools to obtain licenses for training drone operators, enabling them to operate officially.
Additionally, a drone control school has been opened at the Third Assault Brigade, providing training opportunities for both civilians and military personnel.
