Kyiv region high-rise building damaged in 2022 renovated with UNITED24 funds
In the village of Borodianka, Kyiv region, the major renovation of a multi-storey building damaged by shelling and fires in the spring of 2022 has been successfully completed.
The restoration project was carried out as part of the UNITED24 initiative, aimed at rebuilding war-affected areas.
Rubryka reports, citing a Facebook post by Mykola Kalashnyk, First Deputy Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.
What is the problem?
As the official stated, in the spring of 2022, the building in Borodyanka sustained significant damage from Russian shelling and a fire. Prior to the war, 150 people lived in the building, which contains a total of 50 apartments.
What is the solution?
"Thanks to the major renovation of the high-rise building, people can finally return to their native walls and build a new life," Kalashnyk emphasized.
How does it work?
As the first deputy stated, the following repairs were completed in the building:
- Roof and ventilation shafts
- Entrance doors and balconies
- Windows, along with some interior doors and partitions
- Electricity, water supply, and sewage systems
"Thorough control and professional commissioning of facilities are carried out by the State Inspectorate of Architecture and Urban Planning of Ukraine," added Kalashnyk.
According to him, the Kyiv region leads in reconstruction efforts:
- Out of 30.8 thousand damaged and destroyed objects, over 20.3 thousand have already been restored.
Rubryka already reported that, in the Buchansky district of the Kyiv region, the overhaul of Secondary Education Institution No. 13 in the village of Babyntsi has been completed, enabling 370 students to return to regular classes.
Additionally, in the Bila Tserkva district, three new shelters have been equipped to ensure the safety of students and employees of educational institutions.
