Gennadii Butkevych’s businesses contribute UAH 3.2 billion in aid during 1000 days of war
During the full-scale war, Gennadiy Butkevych's businesses, including the ATB Corporation and the BGV Group Management investment group, along with the BGV Charity Fund, donated a total of UAH 3.2 billion [over $76 mln – ed.] to support Ukraine's defense, recovery, and civilian population.
Since March 2022, BGV Group Management and the BGV Charity Fund have given a total of UAH 245 million in charitable financial aid, with UAH 165 million specifically allocated to aid Ukraine's defenders. In addition, the BGV Charity Fund raised UAH 910 million for Ukraine through direct charitable financial aid and product donations from partners. Over the war's 1,000 days, the foundation team successfully carried out over 70 charitable initiatives. This included distributing 76 thousand food packages to vulnerable groups and providing 116 thousand aid boxes to children.
In early 2023, the BGV Charity Fund, in collaboration with the Estonian government, introduced and is currently executing a program to provide free prosthetics and rehabilitation services to Ukrainians who have lost limbs due to hostilities. The prosthetics are being conducted at the Ida-Tallinna Keskhaigla (East Tallinn Central Clinical Hospital), one of the most advanced hospitals in Estonia. Patients receive custom-made advanced bionic electronic prosthetics through the program tailored to their specific needs. These prosthetics can cost up to 70-80 thousand euros each, but under the program, Ukrainian citizens receive them completely free of charge. By the end of 2024, 40 Ukrainians have already been fitted with a total of 52 prostheses.
Since the beginning of the war, ATB Corporation, co-founded by Gennadii Butkevych, has been actively supporting Ukrainians by implementing numerous large-scale charitable initiatives to assist the civilian population, soldiers, and medical facilities. Starting in February 2022, over a thousand stores have served as collection points for donations of products for the military. As of November 2024, ATB Corporation has provided over UAH 2 billion in aid.
According to the official Forbes rating, the BGV Charity Fund and the family of its founder, Gennadii Butkevych, were among the largest donors in Ukraine during the large-scale war based on their work results.
