On the night of October 3, Ukrainian war drones launched an attack on Borysoglebsk military airfield, which is situated in the Voronezh region of Russia.

Hromadske cites a source in the Security Service of Ukraine.

"The Security Service of Ukraine is actively working to decrease the enemy's ability to use fighter jets with anti-aircraft missiles to terrorize peaceful Ukrainian cities. The demilitarization of Russian military airfields will also continue to ensure that the enemy does not feel safe even on their own territory," the interlocutor said.

As per the report, the Security Service of Ukraine, Special Operation Forces, and other Defense Forces launched night-time attacks on:

  • warehouses containing guided aerial bombs;
  • parking areas for SU35 and SU34 aircrafts;
  • fuel storage facilities at the airfield.

As noted, Russian troops are actively attacking Ukrainian territories with guided aerial bombs from there.

It is worth mentioning that Russians reported on social media about the following events during the night:

  • air defense operations;
  • numerous drone strikes;
  • intense explosions and fires near the nearby airfield.

Satellite monitoring recorded four centers of fires on the territory of the airfield.

He announced that there was one victim a woman who sustained a moderate shrapnel wound and is currently in the hospital.

For reference:

On the night of August 14, Russia was also massively attacked by drones. Even though the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the so-called "destruction" of 117 drones in eight regions of the aggressor country, the so-called Russian military bloggers wrote about three Russian airfields that were under attack.

Then, it was revealed that the Voronezh, Kursk, Savasleyka, and Borysoglebsk airfields were attacked.

Ukrainian kamikaze drones also attacked the Russian airfield "Savasleyka" on August 16. Three Russian planes were destroyed there.

Moreover, on the night of August 30, the Russian Federation announced a drone attack on the airport near Kaluga, and in Crimea, explosions were also heard near the Kirovske airfield.

On the night of August 3, there was a UAV attack in Morozovsk, Rostov region in Russia. Initial reports suggest that the drones targeted a military airfield.

The General Staff has confirmed that the Ukrainian armed forces launched a drone attack on the Morozovsk airfield near Rostov, hitting a warehouse with ammunition.

In addition, on September 9, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck another important enemy object on the territory of the Russian Federation; in particular, the Russian airfield "Lipetsk" was hit, which caught fire.
