Unknown drones attack military airfield near Moscow
On the night of August 12, the Chkalovsky military airfield in the Moscow region was attacked by unknown drones, Astra reports.
Local residents and Russian Telegram channels reported the drone attack on the airfield.
According to ASTRA, an air raid alert was announced in Shchelkovo.
Russia's Defense Ministry reported that air defenses allegedly destroyed 18 Ukrainian drones overnight near Kursk, Belgorod, and Voronezh regions.
Rostov Region Governor Vasiliy Golubev also reported the destruction of four drones in the southwestern Rostov.
At the end of last week, the Ukrainian forces struck important enemy targets in Russia, including the Lipetsk airfield, which caught fire.
Warehouses with 700 guided aircraft bombs and a number of other facilities in the vicinity of the airport were hit. Several sources of ignition were identified, a massive fire broke out and multiple detonations were observed.
