Rebuilding Ukraine: Kharkiv region restores bridge destroyed by Russia at full-scale war's beginning
The State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure completed the bridge repair on the P-79 road, an essential logistics route.
The agency's press service reported that.
What is the problem?
The bridge on the R-79 highway was destroyed at the beginning of the war to stop the advance of the Russian Federation's troops.
What is the solution?
The State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure has completed the repair of the bridge on the P-79 road so far.
"After the Ukrainian military repulsed the Russians, they immediately began to restore the structure because one of the most important logistical routes passes through this road," the report says.
How does it work?
It is emphasized that the road connects four districts of the Kharkiv region at once, so it was necessary to restore it exceptionally quickly.
For this, corrugated metal pipes were used instead of classic monolithic structures, which also reduced the project's cost. The service life of such pipes should be longer.

The overhaul of the bridge has almost been completed. Road markings remain to be applied and the surrounding area organized.
The reconstruction agency reports that this is the third town in the Kharkiv region to have been restored after the destruction caused by the Russian invasion.
For reference:
As Rubryka previously reported, in Romanivka, Kyiv region, a new bridge over the Irpin River was officially opened instead of the one that had to be destroyed during the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation at the beginning of the war.
According to reports, the bridge over the Zhereva River that the Russian occupiers had destroyed has been reconstructed in the Kyiv region. The bridge now links the villages of Zherevpillia and Rozvazhiv in the Vyshhorod district.
In addition, in the Mykolaiv region, all the bridges the occupying forces destroyed during the full-scale invasion were rebuilt in less than a year.
