Kyiv region starts 7-week military training course for civilians

On March 16, the first free course for civilians was launched at the Kyiv Regional Center for Preparing the Population for National Resistance.

Over 100 participants will pass the course that will last for 7 weeks.

The training program includes 16 areas with tactical and firearms training, tactical medicine, drone operations, survival, countering enemy warfare, and more.

The first seven-week course was opened by the the veteran Volodymyr Avdeyenko. In his address to the course participants, he said that every Ukrainian should be prepared to defend their home and country.

"Our task is to give you basic knowledge of military training and relevant skills. I stood up to defend the country in 2022. And we all remember what happened then. Many volunteers joined the defense of Kyiv region who had never seen a weapon before, had never seen turnstiles, and had no tactical clothing.

Now it is 2024. And we must all be ready to face the enemy. National resistance must become a national idea."

The training course began with a lecture on national-patriotic education, which is an approved discipline of the course, delivered by the officer of the 3rd Separate Brigade Oleksandr Alfyorov.

"We are the heirs to the knowledge, skills, and abilities of hundreds of generations who have held this land in their arms. Today, we are those to whom Shevchenko addressed a very simple phrase known to all: "To the dead, the living, and the unborn". We have to protect our heritage and pass it on to the next generations.

Putin's motto is different: "To the dead, the living, and the unborn." They want to return the ice cream and the dead Ukrainian village. That is why we are fighting today not only for the survival of the Ukrainian nation. It is a war between the living and the dead."
