Russian drone attack damages high-rise and industrial facilities in central Ukraine
In another Russian attack on Ukraine on Monday, drone debris fell on a 5-story building in the east-central city of Kryvyi Rih, causing a fire.
Private industrial facilities and residential buildings were damaged in the central Kirovohrad region, Rubryka reports, citing the local authorities.
Kryvyi Rih
According to the regional leader Serhii Lysak, Ukrainian air defenders down two "Shahed" drones in the Kryvyi Rih district.
"In Kryvyi Rih, debris fell onto a five-story building. A fire broke out, which rescuers managed to extinguish. The roof was damaged. However, the apartments themselves are intact. No one was hurt," said the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional administration.
Lysak added that rescuers evacuated nearly thirty residents from the building so that explosive ordnance disposal experts could safely remove the debris.
"As of the morning, people have already returned home," said the regional leader.
Russian forces also shelled the Nikopol district three times. Artillery fire targeted the Marhanets, Myrivka, and Chervonohryhorivka communities.
These strikes destroyed a private house and damaged two outbuildings, a car, garages, and greenhouses. The power line and gas pipeline were also affected, but there were no casualties or injuries.
