BGV Charity Fund team throws a celebration with gifts for children in Kherson
On December 14, the BGV Charity Fund delivered gifts for 1,200 children in the city of Kherson with the backing of regular German partners, non-profit organizations Hanseatic Help and #WeAreAllUkrainians.
Festivities were organized with the support of the Kherson Public Organization "What Have You Done?" The fund's team was also joined by an entertainer in the costume of Patron — a beloved hero dog — to greet the young residents of Kherson.
The festive marathon started at the bomb shelter of Children's Regional Hospital, where 50 young patients received gifts. In addition to the regional center, Kherson, the holiday event program also reached two nearby villages — Muzykivka and Posad-Pokrovske.
"Holidays filled with positive emotions and gifts are now extremely valuable and important for children exhausted by war, constant air raid warnings, and rocket and drone attacks," said Polina Aldoshyna, the head of the BGV Charity Fund. "We are delighted that we can bring some relief to the kids, even if just for a while, and organize a celebration, even if it's in a basement."
These gifts are part of the Christmas campaign, where Hanseatic Help distributes 5,700 parcels, funded by private donations from Hamburg residents, to bring joy to children from socially vulnerable groups.
The initiative is implemented with the support of the German charity organization #WeAreAllUkrainians, initiated by Volodymyr Klychko.
